Learning choreography from a video is frustrating — figuring out how to mirror it, reaching for your phone to restart it, never quite keeping up with the speed. Choreoflow turns any dance video into a structured, personalised practice session, so you spend less time wrestling with playback and more time actually dancing.

Upload a reel you downloaded, or footage from a team practice you missed, and Choreoflow will help you break the dance down into pieces and learn it phrase by phrase, at your own pace.

Add your video

Upload the choreography you want to learn and set up your practice session.

Break it down

Mark the phrases in the choreography. Learn one manageable section (e.g. one eight count) at a time instead of trying to memorise the whole routine at once.

Build it up

Choose the number of phrase repeats, intermediate runs, and final runs. Also select various practice speeds, mirror the video if you need to, and turn on autoplay for a convenient hands-free experience.

Dance it out

Start practicing! Choreoflow takes care of the playback for you. Countdown timers and automatic repeats mean you don't have to keep stopping to touch your phone or drag the video back. Phrases start slowly, then gradually increase in speed as you do more repeats. Save your progress, so you can come back whenever you're ready to practise again. Keep all your dances organised with folders and tags.

Frequently asked questions

How do I import a video?

From the library screen, tap the + button and choose a video from Photos or Files. Choreoflow uses Apple's picker, so it only ever sees the specific video you select — never your full photo library.

Which video formats work?

Choreoflow supports common formats such as MP4, MOV and M4V, including videos downloaded from Instagram reels or exported from your camera roll.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Choreoflow doesn't require an email, password, or account of any kind. Everything you add is stored privately on your own device.

Autoplay or hands-free playback isn't behaving as expected

Check that Hands-free autoplay is switched on in your lesson setup, and that your device isn't in Low Power Mode, which can pause background playback. You can always pause manually and resume whenever you're ready.

How do I delete a dance, or all my data?

Long press on a dance to open a menu and select Delete to remove a single dance from your library. If the app is taking up too much storage or you just want to delete everything, go to Settings → Delete all my data to remove every video, folder, and lesson history from your device in one step. My dance disappeared after a few weeks

You may have auto-delete switched on in Settings, which removes a completed dance after 14 days of inactivity. You can turn this off at any time.

Can I get support for something not listed here?

Choreoflow ("the App") is a personal dance-practice app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the App accesses on your device, what we (the developer) do and do not receive, and how you can delete your data.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Summary

We do not run a Choreoflow account, cloud library, or backend. We do not collect, sell, or share your videos or personal information on our servers, because we do not operate servers for this App.

Videos you import, thumbnails, folders, learning plans, and lesson history are stored on your device in the App's private storage.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Choreoflow iOS/iPadOS app distributed on the Apple App Store and TestFlight.

3. Information the App uses on your device

The App processes the following on your device, at your direction:

Videos you import — You may import a dance from Photos or Files. The App copies the video you choose into its own storage so it can play, crop, mark phrases, and run lessons. We do not get a copy. The App uses Apple's photo picker so you choose a specific video; it does not need access to your entire photo library.

Thumbnails — The App generates a still image from your video for the library grid. That file stays on the device.

Learning data you create — Phrase markers, playback speeds, repeat counts, folders, titles, tags (such as difficulty or length), mirror setting, and similar plan details.

Lesson history — Progress through a lesson, whether you finished, time spent practising, and related session state so you can resume.

App preferences — Things like "show the welcome tour," default speeds/repeats for new dances, and whether to auto-delete finished dances after 14 days. These are stored in Apple's UserDefaults on the device.

A local device identifier — The App stores a random ID on the device (not an email or name you type in) so it can keep local settings. Settings currently show a generic profile name ("Dancer"). That is not an account with us.

The App's privacy manifest declares that it does not track you and does not collect data types for us. It uses UserDefaults only for preferences on the device.

4. What we do not do

We do not:

require an email, password, or Choreoflow account
upload your videos, photos, or lesson history to our servers
use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs in this App
sell or rent personal information
share your library with other users
use your content for marketing or AI training

Operational logs on the device record technical events (for example that an import finished, or a playback error). They are not meant to include video files or the contents of your dances.

5. Apple and other third parties

If you download the App, Apple processes your Apple ID and purchase/install information under Apple's privacy policy.

If you enable iCloud Backup (or another device backup), Apple or your backup provider may store a copy of app data that iOS includes in backups. That can include videos and plans stored by Choreoflow. We do not receive that backup. You control backups in iOS Settings.

If you share crash or diagnostic data with Apple (a system setting), Apple may receive crash reports. Those reports are handled by Apple. We only see what Apple provides to developers, if anything, and we do not intend them to include your video files.

The App may use standard iOS frameworks (Photos picker, Files, audio playback). Those stay on-device except as Apple's system itself behaves.

6. Why the App accesses Photos and Files

Photos: so you can pick a video to practise.
Files: so you can import a video you already have (for example MP4, MOV, M4V).

Access happens only when you choose Import. The App does not scan your library in the background.

You should only import videos you created, own, or have permission to use.

7. How long data stays on the device

Until you delete it, or you delete the App, or (if you turn the option on) the App auto-deletes a completed dance that you have not opened again for 14 days.

Auto-delete is off unless you enable it in Settings. It does not delete dances you have not finished, or finished dances you have opened again.

8. Your choices and deletion

You can:

delete a single dance from the library
use "Delete all my data" in Settings, which removes local videos, thumbnails, folders, learning plans, and session history
delete the App, which removes the App's sandbox data on that device
turn auto-delete on or off

"Delete all my data" does not uninstall the App. Some on-device preferences (for example default speeds or that you have seen the welcome tour) may remain until you delete the App.

Uninstalling Choreoflow on a device removes that device's Choreoflow data. It does not delete the original in Photos/Files, and it does not delete copies inside an iCloud or computer backup unless you remove those separately.

Because we do not hold your library on our servers, we cannot remotely export or erase data from a device we do not control. Deletion has to be done on the device (or by deleting the App / managing backups).

9. International users

Processing happens on your device. We do not transfer your Choreoflow library to our servers in another country because we do not host that library. Apple may process App Store and device data according to Apple's terms and your Apple ID region.

10. Security

We rely on iOS app sandboxing and storing files in the App's private container. No method of storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for your device passcode, Apple ID, and who can unlock the phone.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change. For material changes we may also note it in the App Store listing or an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
